In recent years, the emerging sport of wing foiling has been gaining popularity in Hong Kong. Unlike traditional windsurfing, the wing and surfboard are not connected. Surfers must stand firmly on the surfboard with both feet and control the inflatable wing with their hands, utilizing the wind to glide across the water’s surface at high speeds, almost resembling flying above the water. With the continuous improvement of local competitive levels, the Hong Kong Wing Foiling Team was established two years ago, and its athletes have achieved remarkable results in international competitions.
The “Hong Kong Wing Foiling Formula,” organized by the Windsurfing Association of Hong Kong, brings together top talents from across the city to soar through the skies, competing for speed while overcoming various environmental challenges. This year, the competition will be held for the first time at GO PARK Sai Sha, promising competitors a refreshing and unique experience.
